In 2021 I started following Joey's leadership model "Effective Management Principles" which he developed over time. I commented that I felt 1 element was missing - during our exchange Joey invited me for a coffee and we discussed at length, and we came to a conclusion.
This engagement was an eye opener, and I felt it necessary to expose my management team to Joey's principles. I had a young dynamic team, and the principles fitted in with our vision and culture as a newly formed team.
The session was of a high quality and the team very responsive to Joey's way of bringing the message across. The discussions that flowed created a deeper understanding of what we wanted to achieve as a new team and how we could support one another. The practical examples of how to lead a team and how to get all to understand what the future goal was impressed all.
The one great example was how to get a team of young rugby players to all understand their unique role and skillset in a team environment. This was particularly handy in our environment, and we still revert back to the principles..
